Lorenz Supply Co. is required by law to collect sales tax on orders shipped to states and localities where they have a physical presence or are otherwise legally obligated to do so. Sales tax is calculated based on the destination of the shipment, in accordance with applicable state and local tax rates at the time of purchase. If your business or organization is located in a state where we are registered to collect tax, applicable sales tax will be added to your order total unless a valid tax exemption certificate is provided.

Tax-exempt customers, such as government agencies, non-profit organizations, and resellers, may be eligible to make tax-free purchases. To qualify for exemption, you must submit a current and properly completed sales tax exemption certificate before placing your order. Certificates must be issued by the state in which the goods are being shipped and must include all required fields, such as your business name, tax ID number, and a valid signature. Once verified, your account will be marked as tax-exempt for future purchases, unless changes in tax laws or your exemption status require re-verification.

If you believe sales tax was charged in error, please contact us within 14 days of the invoice date so we can review the transaction and make any necessary corrections. Unfortunately, we are not able to refund tax amounts after that period or without appropriate documentation.
